Research Abstract |
We developed a hybrid peptide, which induces non-apoptotic cell death against leukemia cells. We determined that the mode of the peptide induced cell death is similar to necrosis. In addition, we newly synthesized a series of the D-amino acid containing-peptide mimetic analogues of the hybrid peptide and evaluated the killing effect on the human leukemic cell lines. These peptides will be a useful tool for development of novel concept-based anti-leukemia agents.
