Research Abstract |
Chronic arsenic poisoning, currently, inorganic arsenic (iAs) contamination of drinking water causes the victim of more than 50 million has been identified in Asia. We have developed a synthesis technology simple to detoxification process the iAs is a causative agent of arsenic poisoning. Establishing the non-toxicity of arsenobetaine (AsB) on scientific and legal grounds will expedite the application of arsenic detoxification in many areas as a safe and eco-friendly way to treat iAs in the natural environment. The presence of titanium oxide photocatalyst, acetic acid, by light irradiation, the iAs is converted to AsB. Examination of the behavior in seawater of AsB as ocean dumping model, was present in a stable manner to reach the (2ppb) arsenic concentration originally present in seawater within 24 hours. It was able to ocean dumping of toxic arsenic and establishment of low- cost process of ultimate propose a possible conditions.
