Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In China today, religion and religious customs have been reevaluated. This study aimed to clerify how people's and the officials' view for religion has been changing through positive research about how people treat religious things and religious places. the research reviealed that there exists strong political power to restrict the places allowed for religious activities. However, it was also obvious that there are some people who try to create new religious meeting places and to see secular world itself as an religious cultivation places. The study indicates there exists new style of religiousity and its places in Contemporary China.
