| Research Abstract |
本年度行った研究実績の概要は以下の通り。
①前年度に引き続き、『ヘンリー8世』における勢力均衡思想についての考察を進め、シンポジウムShakespearean Readershipに'The "craftie emperor" in Henry VIII'と題する論文を提出し、「『ヘンリー8世』の‘craftie emperor’―MR774への書き込みから考える劇中の外交政策」と題する発表を行った。あわせて、「フランスかぶれの宮廷人と宗教改革――『ヘンリー8世』における服装の風刺とイングランド人アイデンティティ」と題する論文を発表した。
②『アントニーとクレオパトラ』におけるローマとエジプトの関係を考察し、その一部を第5回European Shakespeare Research Association大会におけるセミナー‘Shakespeare’s Classical Mythology: European Perspective’にて‘Emasculation and Miscegenation’と題する論文の形で発表した。
③『ハムレット』における勢力均衡政策について『リア王』との比較において考察し、第2回Kyoto-Bristol Symposiumにおいて‘Two Triangles for Denmark: International Relations in Hamlet’の発表を行った。
④『リア王』とその王政復古期における改作の比較について、'The Kingdoms of Lear in Tate and Shakespeare:A Restoration Reconfiguration of Archipelagic Kingdoms'と'The Balance of Power in King Lear’s Kingdoms'の2論文を刊行した。
