Research Abstract |
In this research, based on my own experiences as a particpant in the municipal master planning committee of Tokai village, I have examined the inportance and the possibility of policy evaluation and policy reform from gender perspectives, which has been closely related with one of the main policy issues of municipal master planning of Tokai village, especially after JCO nuclear accident in 1999, that is a reconstruction of the relationship between communities and nuclear facilities. After the Fukushima-daichi nuclear plant accident, we have carried out several questionaire surveys and conducted interview research with local women's groups, thereby we could empilically argued that the advancement of gender equality is an important pre-condinton for post-nuclear power policies.
