Research Abstract |
The discovery of transporter-related receptors, now called transceptors, has raised interesting questions with respect to their functions. In the present study, we investigated whether XPR1 and SLC34A3 functions as calcium/inorganic phosphate transceptor in mammalian cells. Our results indicate that XPR1 is a novel transceptor and that XPR1 participates in G-protein-mediated cAMP signaling.
