Research Abstract |
We analyzed change of gene expression and cell counts in NG2 (+) cell by using therapeutic drug-treated NG2DsRed mice and schizophrenia-model NG2DsRed mice. We observed that NG2 (+) cell counts and expression of Rbpj gene changed in the lithium-treated NG2DsRed mice. These results suggest that Lithium controls the proliferation and differentiation of NG2 (+) cells via Notch signaling.
