Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Neural circuit formation requires fine spatiotemporal control of each step, such as neuronal differentiation and axonal projection. We have developed a new method in which gene expression is turned on in an aimed portion of the mouse nervous system in vivo. Mice that have a defect in a restricted part of neural circuits and a specific behavioral disorder have been efficiently obtained.
