| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
最終年度は、アジア各地域のマンガと女性文化を引き続き調査し、マニラで国際会議を開催、総括を行った。
・調査･研究: 4月大城は「MANDARA」を取材(講談社)。吉原は、SHAKESPEARE 450(パリ)にて発表･調査；7月大城は大英図書館で開催された国際会議で発表(研究協力者Cheng Tju、Ian Gordonも参加)。同図書館初のコミックス展示会、Self Made Hero社などを訪問･調査；8月大城は富川国際漫画祭国際学術大会に、10月須川はアジアアニメーションフォーラムに招聘され、講演を行った。8月須川は広島国際アニメフェスティバルに参加；9月ベルントはヨーロッパ日本学会(リュブリャナ)に出席；10月－11月：大城、中垣は、ベルントが運営として関わった “Manga Futures”(ウロンゴン大学、オーストラリア)に参加。ベルントはシドニー、シンガポールを調査；11月大城は第15回国際MANGAサミット大会(台南)にてアジアの状況を調査。須川は台湾ファンシーフロンティアを取材; 12月大城はデリーで、Mangaful Cafe、Raj Comics社などを訪問･取材。ベルントは東南アジア日本学会(バンコク)に参加；1月Studio Studio社を訪問(マニラ)；3月、大城、長池は「規制、女性、マンガ」研究会を開催
・国際会議: 1月マニラ: アテネオ・デ・マニラ大学とジャパンファウンデーションとの共催で、第6回女性MANGA国際会議 “Manga and the Manga-esque”を開催。CFPをパスした院生を含む22名の研究発表(全体で394名参加)。東南アジア各地域から作家を10名招聘(うち女性6名)。 “Manga-esque”というキーワードから、マンガを取り込む多様なメディアやコスプレなど派生文化領域についても論じた。従来のコミックスと異なり、マンガを含むグローカルな現象を経て生み出された海外のコミックスを多様なアイデンティティ表現を可能にするメディアとして検証することが、今後のプロジェクトにつながる課題として確認された。
