Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recently, it has become increasingly important for Japanese people to establish an equal and friendly relationship through open and active communication with people from different cultural backgrounds. However, the findings of this study, suggest that young Japanese people have a more passive communication style than young people from the USA or other parts of Asia,. Furthermore, even though they experience conflicts when visiting abroad, they tend to remain silent and not express what they want to say. Therefore, in this research, I developed assertive communication teaching materials that emphasize concrete scenes and case studies for college students.
