Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to propose a methodology for the collaborative and practical research on art-appreciation education to foster the qualities and abilities of teachers. This study has elucidated that the "appreciation-learning project" that utilized the performance evaluation of the practice community and the "reverse design", provided the place for the activities to evaluate the open collaborative inquiry with others whose position and expertise differed, thereby engendering the process of reflective inquiry for the purpose of re-configuring one's own practice. The "appreciation-learning project" has confirmed that by introducing the performance evaluation that created a place for the presentations of what had been learned with the children, the exploratory process was realized, one that utilized the learning assessment as the "tool to promote explorations and learning" and as the "tool to reconsider learning and its goals."
