Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this research study was to develop a Learning Support System to improve the clinical judgments in novice nurses.Based on Steinaker and Bell's Taxonomy of Experiential Learning (1979), the 5 steps.Research subjects were novice nurses, mid-level nurses, clinical nurse specialists, undergraduate nursing students, graduate nursing students and nursing faculty. Results of this research study suggests that there may be clinical and skills labs applications for the use of the Learning Support System. Future research is needed to improve the system by simplifying the content of Step 3 along with the number of available case studies.
