Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Visiting the church and exchanging the information with Korean women with the status of special permanent residents in Japan, I affirmed that the experience and identity of multiple minority cannot be fully understood by a single category of ethnicity, gender and religion but an intersectional analysis of those. We started a small study group in 2013 and met almost every other month till 2014 in order to explore diverse experiences and strategies of survival for multiple minorities. We also had lectures in 2014 given by the scholars from U.S. and Micronesia who had Japanese ancestors. As a part of research result of the study group, we plan to publish a book in December 2015, with a publication grant of Kyotogakuen University.
