Outline of Final Research Achievements

An applicability of atmospoheric water budget method using GPS precipitable water vapor was deeply examined for estimating evapotranspiration. This approach is an evapotranspiration estimation method using observation as possible. In this study, whether an advection model could describe a horizontal advection to water vapor was investigated. GPS precipitable water vapor was used with ~20km spatial interval and 3-hour time interval. It was assumed that it is possible to estimate advection vector when 100km spatial interval was applied. Moreover, estimated evapotranspiration by proposed method showed diurnal cycle. This may suggests an applicability of proposed method to estimate evapotranspiration.
