Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research project analyses establishment process of "Religious Corporations Law" using historical materials of the U.S. and Japan. Issues and opinions of Religion Division CIE GHQ/SCAP and Religious Affairs Section Ministry of Education and Japanese religious leaders in the confereces were elucidated. As a result, it was found that difference of law idea due to the cultural and historical background, and conflict of each ideal religious corporation image were actualized, at the end of confrontation and compromise, this law had been completed. As part of this study, I clarified establishment process of "The acts of Disposition of State-owned Lands Used by Religious Institutions".
