| Research Abstract |
We performed neuro-imaging tests including magnetic resonance imaging, electroencephalography, and near infrared spectroscopy. We also conducted neuro-cognitive test battery (Brief Assessment of Cognition in Schizophrenia-Japanese version), and collected blood samples from patients with schizophrenia.
We found that neuro-imaging tests especially NIRS could be a predicting marker, and that plasma metabolites are candidate markers to improve the determination of diagnosis, severity and clinical stages, especially for schizophrenia.
