Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

単なる相転移のその場観察ではなく最先端の各種観測技術を複合的に組み合わせた動的な模擬実験と変形試料の回収試料の詳細な分析は、技術的な難易度が高い内容ではあるが、発生のメカニズムが不明で学術的にも重要な深発地震の理解に対して、深部物質のレオロジーを含めた水の影響に対する新たな物質科学的制約を得ることが期待できる。
