現在の動作アシストが単純な動作に限られているという課題を打破し、より複雑な動作をアシストできるように人間側の運動制御の面から最適なアシストを行うための設計指針を提案し、動作アシストの適用範囲を広げるという重要な研究である。また、そのような課題解決を通して、人間のテクノロジーに対する適応力、人間に潜在している能力を知ろうとする試みは学術的に高く期待される。
