Outline of Annual Research Achievements

光電荷分離状態を100%の高効率で利用できる学理を確立し、有機太陽電池、人工光合成などの太陽エネルギー変換系の高効率化、および細胞機能制御へと展開していくことを狙った。すなわち、ドナー・アクセプター(D-A)界面において、D-A相互作用の指標である電子カップリング(electronic coupling)を強い状態から弱い状態へと連続的に変化させることで、エキシプレックス形成(exciplex)と電荷分離状態生成および電荷分離寿命と量子収率の関係を系統的に明らかにし、今まで系ごとに違った“光電荷分離状態”に関する統一した学理を構築することを目指した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

電子カップリングと光電荷分離効率の相関をさらに他の実験で補強することを目指す。また、光電荷分離に関して、新規材料、系、評価法などの開発を行い、光エネルギー変換、生物系への新たな展開を図る。
