Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)保型的微分作用素から派生する階数8のホロノミー系の解は難しい解が4次元ある。このうち任意のパラメータに対して、3つの解の自然な構成法と積分表示を与えた。また残りの一つのテーラー展開係数に対して、極めて複雑ではあるが、完全に明示的な予想を新たに与えた。一般の次数では従来の微分方程式系は方程式の数が変数の数より少なく、ホロノミー系ではないが、どう自然に追加すればホロノミー系になるかについて明示的な予想を得た。また古典的調和球関数とのある意味での整合性を主張する定理を証明した(以上 Don Zagier との共同研究。)
(2)パラモジュラー形式と、定符号四元数環から得られるコンパクト斜交群のある離散群についての保型形式は、リフトの部分を除き正確に1対1の Langlands 型の対応がある、という代表者の予想を、さらに対合写像の固有空間どうしの対応予想に拡張すべく、今回、まずコンパクト斜交群について固有空間の次元公式を小さいレベルで計算した。全く別の動機で C.Poor, D. Yuen 等により計算されていた具体的なパラモジュラー形式の例と合わせると、具体例ではまさに予想通りであることが示され、方向の正しさが確認された。
(3)分担者北山は Noetherの不変体有理性問題とその関連する諸問題を研究を行い、佐藤は、ある2次形式系について表現の密度から直交群の保型形式が構成できることを、概均質ベクトル空間のゼータ関数を用いて示し、若槻はアーサー跡公式の幾何サイドの明示的研究を行い、また桂田は池田保氏との共同研究で Hermitian form の Gross-Keating invariant の基礎理論を構築し、Hermitian Siegel series の明示公式を得た。
