Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成26年度は，東南アジア主要部を構成するペルム－三畳紀の島弧であるスコタイ帯について，タイ北部以南での延長を把握し，更にそのペルム－三畳系浅海相の層序学的特徴を明らかにする目的で，タイ中央部および南東部において調査を実施した．この調査では，同時にタイ中央部のインドチャイナ地塊縁辺域に分布する石炭系浅海相も調査し，前年度調査で石炭系の可能性が示された蒸発岩との関係を検討した．また，スコタイ帯とインドチャイナ地塊との間の背弧海盆閉鎖域と考えられるナン－ウトラディ縫合帯において，特に海洋性岩石の岩石化学的特徴とその形成年代を明らかにするための調査を行った．今年度２回の調査で，日本からは計8名を派遣した．
現在，これら２回の調査と昨年度の調査で得られた岩石試料について，各研究分担者が処理，解析を進めている．タイ中央部及び南東部での調査で得られた試料からは，石炭系炭酸塩岩の年代が前期石炭紀Visean後期～Serpukhovianであることが明らかになった．タイ南東部での調査でも，ほぼ同様の年代の石灰岩がチャチョエンサオ地域で得られた．さらにタイ南東部のサケオ地域の遠洋性珪質堆積物の放散虫年代と形成場についても検討を進めている．現在これらのデータをまとめている途中であるが，ナン背弧海盆形成前のインドチャイナ地塊縁辺の古地理的状況が明らかになってきている．またナン－ウトラディ縫合帯からの試料については，現在その岩石学的記載を行い，同時に岩石化学的分析を進めている．また苦鉄質岩中のジルコンについて年代測定を行っているところである．これらの検討で，背弧盆の形成年代やテクトニックな特徴を明らかにし，特にオフィオライト岩石の成因と定置過程を詳細に検討する．
また，主に初年度調査で得られたデータについて，国内外の研究集会において学会発表を行った．それらについて，更に論文の作成を進めている．

Reason

今年度は当初計画通り，タイ国のスコタイ帯の広がりを把握するための調査，およびナン－ウトラディ縫合帯に分布するオフィオライト岩石の岩石学的特徴と形成年代を明らかにするための試料採集を行う事が出来た．初年度と今年度に採集した試料は，現在各分担者がその専門領域に合わせ処理，解析，検討を進めている．そのいくつかについては国内の学会（日本地質学会年会，例会，など）や国際シンポジウム（本科研参加者が中心となり推進しているIGCP589プロジェクト等）で順次発表されている．更にその成果の幾つかは，国際シンポジウム特集号として出版が計画されている国際誌への投稿のため，論文としてまとめられつつある．このような状況に鑑み，平成26年度（本科研２年目）を終了した段階での自己評価としては，概ね計画通り順調に調査，研究が進展しているという感触を得ている．

Strategy for Future Research Activity

次年度は本科研最終年度となる．今のところ野外調査としては，タイ北部のスコタイ帯で新たに発見された炭酸塩岩中のペルム紀－三畳紀境界，および連続した前期三畳紀炭酸塩岩について精査を実施し，さらにラオス北部において前回の調査結果を踏まえ再調査を行う計画でいる．また初年度発見したタイ国中央部の石炭系と思われる蒸発岩について，現地共同研究者による蒸発岩採掘鉱山会社との折衝の結果，現在稼行している鉱山で掘削された岩石コア試料を検討できる可能性が出てきた．現地での追加調査とともに，コア試料についても検討を行う予定である．これらの野外調査と並行して，得られた試料について解析を進め，データ公表につとめる．
研究はおおむね順調に進展しているので，最終年度も研究計画に関して大幅な変更は必要ない．最終年度も現地調査が中心となるが，タイ，ラオスの共同研究者とは日常的に連絡を取り合っているため，その実施に関して現状では特に不安要素は見当たらない．

今年度繰越金は822円であり，当初計画通り執行できたと言える．
