Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this reserch, I compared the differences between amateurs and professionals in both countries, with the comic events(comic markets and comic conventions) gathered by Japanese and American comic lovers. In Japan, the code (promise) of the "reader community" is easy to share regardless of Ama / Pro, whereas in the United States the boundary between them is relatively strongly drawn. As this background, there exists a historical formation process of comic publisher as a cultural industry.
