Outline of Final Research Achievements

Perivascular fat produces various vasoactive substances and exerts important rolls in vascular chronic inflammation and vascular remodeling. It is known that microRNAs released from cells enter another cells to regulate gene expression. In this study, we showed that miR-100 released from adipose cells regulates mTOR in smooth muscle cells, indicating that miRNA regulates cell proliferation.
