Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Jackson Pollock is well known as the standard-bearer of the action painting in America. Pollock sympathized with the American Indian culture and the Mexican mural movement in your youth, but his art style was very different from the action painting. This research verified the historical significance of Federal Art Project and made clear that Pollock tried to fuse the "abstract" and the "concrete" together. So according my research, Pollock tried to pursue the original American modernism in the abstract expressionism.
