| Research Abstract |
（１）アイルランド英語に関する調査
アイルランド共和国コーク市において、アイルランド英語の文法と接触言語的性質に関してフィールド調査を行った。
（２）世界英語および接触による言語変化に関する文献調査
カリブ海地域の英語諸変種とクレオールを中心とした世界英語諸言語に関する文献調査を行った。
（３）学会、研究会への参加および研究発表
ヘルシンキ大学にて開催のChanging English: Contact and Variation学会において、アイルランド英語の接触言語学における理論的貢献の可能性に関する研究発表“Some theoretical potentialities of Hiberno-English in contact linguistics: an exploration of the do be habitual”を行った。アイルランドとカリブ地域に共通する習慣相を表す形式に関する考察を論文“Diffusion vs. independent emergence of the do be habitual: Exploring linguistic connections between Ireland and the eastern Caribbean”にまとめた（Transcultural Roots Uprisingに採録）。言語と民族的アイデンティティに関して、言語形式の不使用報告にみるアイルランド英語の話者意識についての考察を論文“Non-use, no identity? : The assessment of the ‘non-use’ judgement in ‘Irish markers’ in Hiberno-English”として公刊した。

フィールド調査、文献調査とも順調に行い、分析作業を進めた。研究発表および研究会への参加などを通して、関連分野の研究者との研究交流を積極的に行っている。

(i) 文法に関することがらと話者の意識に関することがらの両方において、アイルランド英語のフィールド調査をさらにすすめる。(ii) 土着化した他の英語変種について、基礎的な資料収集および文献の検討を行う。(iii) 世界の英語諸変種の多様性と連続性に関して考察をすすめる。
