Outline of Final Research Achievements

The Synthetic Personality Inventory (SPI) is the one of assessment centers. It came into widespread use in recruitment examinations for university students from the 1960s. There are four reasons. Firstly, employers had to select qualified people from a large pool of applicants effectively. Secondly, behavioral sciences tended to be applied to business administration and management. Thirdly, some hiring staff could eliminate mentally handicapped applicants by using the SPI results and justify it by claiming of scientific results. Finally, the SPI could be utilized in an individual interview examination.
Career services in most universities offer students some lectures for the SPI in recent years. It has two functions. One is as insurance to avoid inequalities when seeking jobs. It can be seen that it is better to prepare through simulations than not to do so. The other one is as remedial lessons. These comprise studies at the elementary, junior high and high school levels.
