Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we examined the relationship between regional trade agreements and the use of trade remedy measures, such as safeguards, antidumping, and countervailing measures. As a result of the research, we have obtained results as follows. First, we empirically analyzed the trade effects of antidumping policies using Japanese cases. Second, we examined Korean Trade Adjustment Assistance for the purpose of discussing the necessity of the relief program for the domestic firms and workers that are injured by trade liberalization. Finally, we carried out the comparative analysis of the global and bilateral safeguard provisions related to the trade of goods, as specified in the free trade agreements of Korea and Japan.
