Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

ヒトがんのゲノム情報を用いて陰性選択遺伝子の網羅的同定を試みるという独創性の高い、かつ挑戦的な研究である。これまでのゲノム研究の実績に基づき、高い変異率を示す大腸がんや子宮体がん、胃がんに着目し陰性選択遺伝子の取得の可能性を高めるなど、緻密な研究計画であり十分な実現可能性があると評価された。本研究を通して、ヒト生体内におけるがんへの細胞進化に対する体系的理解が深まると期待される。
