Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)3重GaAs量子ドットを用いて、3量子ビット化、遠隔もつれ操作、3スピン交換結合操作を実現し、またCPHASEとQNDが実現可能であることを確認した。GaAsドットの核スピン揺らぎの実時間計測、帰還回路による同揺らぎ抑制の技術開発を行った。4重ドットでは可視度が低いものの4ビット化、5重ドットでは拡張性のある電子制御を達成した。他にスピン3値読み出し法を開発した。天然Siの量子ドットを用いて世界最高のゲート忠実度99.6%を達成した。この値は誤り耐性閾値を超え、産業用Siによる量子コンピュータ構築の展望を拓く。
(2)表面弾性波で動く量子ドットに電子が閉じ込められている場合とそうでない場合の電気伝導特性の違いを明らかにした。また、表面弾性波で動く量子ドット中の2電子分離の効率を正確に評価するための電流雑音測定系の構築に取り組んだ。同時に、電子対分離を用いたベル測定を検討した。
(3)無磁場でのマヨラナ粒子生成に向けて超伝導体/並列二重細線を作製し、細線中の量子ドットを介したクーパー対分離を観測した。エピ成長した超伝導体半導体基板からコルビノ型ジョセフソン接合を作製し、超伝導電流の磁場依存性からジョセフソン渦糸の大きさとゲート依存性を評価した。InSb量子井戸薄膜のウェットエッチにより、サイドゲート型量子ポイントコンタクト形成法を確立した。現在1次元伝導の確認実験中。
(4)GaAs量子ドットの光電子励起効率からゼーマン分裂した軽い正孔のエネルギーを特定し、その選択励起に成功した。また、デバイス構造や測定系の改良により電荷読み出しの高速化(1 usec)、光子電子変換効率の向上(~5 %)に成功した。 (110)GaAs系量子井戸の時間分解磁気光学効果測定による重い正孔からの量子状態の実証を試みた。また表面ゲート法により同2次元電子系と量子ポイントコンタクトの伝導を評価した。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

(1)天然Siを用いた世界最高忠実度の達成は、Siがスピン量子計算の産業化にとって朗報であり、インパクトが大きい。当初の予想以上の成果である。GaAs量子ドットにおける核スピン環境の実時間測定、3重量子ドットによるQNDは予定外の成果である。4重量子ドットのRabi測定は予定通り、5重量ドットの電子状態制御は1年前倒しの成果、3値スピン読み出しは、当初の予定外の成果である。全般に、当初の予想を上回る進捗といえる。
(2)電子対の量子電子光学実験に関しては、電子が表面弾性波で閉じ込められている場合と閉じ込められていない場合を電気伝導特性によって見分けられるようになった。また、電子対分離を用いたベル測定の方針が定まった。これらにより、見通しが良くなった。
(3)並列二重ナノ細線で、量子ドットを介してはいるが、初めてクーパー対分離の実証に成功しており、これは来年度以降の細線での分離の観測とマヨラナ粒子の実現へとつながる結果である。また、コルビノ型ジョセフソン接合に関しても、将来的なマヨラナ粒子の交換操作につながる結果であり、次年度以降予定しているトポロジカル絶縁体のジョセフソン接合において重要な知見が得られた。伝導性のあるInSb量子井戸とその量子ポイントコンタクトの作製まで達成できたが、量子化伝導度の観測は実現できていない。高移動度化が必要である。
(4)本年度は光子から電子スピンへの量子状態転写の実現に不可欠な、軽い正孔の選択励起に成功しており、計画に沿って順調に推移している。また、変換効率の向上と測定の高速化によって、上記の量子状態転写の実験がより効率的に行えるようになった。時間分解カー回転により重い正孔からのアンサンブル量子状態転写の実証を目指したが、いまだ実証できてない。(110)GaAs基板上の量子ドット作製は順調に進展した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

(1)3重量子ドットを用いた複合2量子ビットによるCPHASEの高速化とQNDの実証実験、4重量子ドットのよるRabi振動可視度の改善、GaAs量子ドットにおけるデコヒーレンス抑制のための帰還回路の実証実験、2次元多重量子ドット化に向けた基本構造(3角形3重量子ドット)の開発を行う。Si量子ドットについては、さらなるゲート忠実度の向上を目指し、同位体制御Siの量子ドットによるスピン量子ビットを実現し、忠実度を評価する。
(2)表面弾性波で動く量子ドット中の電子対を分離させる実験に関しては、精度の高い電流雑音測定系の構築に引き続き取り組み、分離効率の評価を行う。また、グラフェンを用いたクーパー対分離の追加テーマにも取り組み、グラフェン量子ドットや量子ホール状態のグラフェンを利用した高効率のクーパー対分離を目指す。
(3)無磁場でのマヨラナ粒子の実現に必須となる、電子間相互作用による弾道的な電子輸送領域でのクーパー対分離現象を並列二重ナノ細線と超伝導体の接合において観測することを目指す。また、上記の電子間相互作用に関連し、InAsナノ細線における電子間相互作用の大きさを定量評価するために朝永ラッティンジャー液体の性質を実験的に観測することを目指す。バッファ層の厚膜化と井戸構造の改良によりInSb量子井戸のさらなる高移動度化を目指すとともに、エピタキシャル超伝導電極と含め超伝導接合の作製を検討する。
(4)光学スピン閉塞効果による量子状態転写実証の結果を追補するため、単一光子から単一スピンへの量子状態転写を二重量子ドットでのスピン閉塞効果を用いた単発読み出しにより実証することを目指す。また、単発スピン読み出しの精度に与えるフォノンの効果を実時間測定から明らかにすることを目指す。(110)GaAs基板上の量子ドット形成と電荷検出を実現し、単一光子実験の実験を開始する。
