Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ゼオライトやメソポーラスシリカなどのナノ多孔材料を利用して、細孔空間や骨格内に調製したシングルサイト光触媒(孤立四配位酸化物種、光機能性金属錯体)の機能・特性の評価、およびナノ多孔材料の構造・形態制御、表面修飾や他の機能性材料との複合化を通して、シングルサイト光触媒を利用する環境調和型機能材料の開発と応用を試みた。平成28年度では、以下の研究を実施した。
1)シングルサイト光触媒を利用する金属ナノ触媒の調製: 微細で均一な貴金属ナノ粒子を含有した触媒材料の調製においてシングルサイトTi光触媒の応用を検討した。金属全駆体を含む溶液にシングルサイトTiを含むメソポーラスシリカ)を加えた後に紫外光照射することで、光励起したTiと金属の前駆体との相互作用を通し、最終的に微細かつ高分散な金属ナノ粒子を担持できた。コア・シェル型合金ナノ粒子の調製に本手法を適用し、パラジウムー金やパラジウムー銀などのコア・シェル型ナノ合金の担持を試み高活性を示す触媒の調製を目指した。より微細な貴金属ナノ粒子の新しい担持法としてマイクロ波加熱の利用も検討した。金属前駆体とシングルサイト触媒を含む溶液にマイクロ照射することで、通常加熱による調製に比べより微細で高分散な貴金属ナノ粒子の担持を試み最適化を検討した。
2)コア・シェル構造触媒設計による高効率ワンポット触媒反応系の設計: コア・シェル型触媒ヨーク・シェル型触媒構造を構築し、調製した種々の金属・合金微粒子触媒上における水素・酸素からの過酸化水素合成、シングルサイト光触媒上における過酸化水素を酸化剤とした逐次的な有機物の選択酸化反応を可能とするワンポット触媒反応系を設計した。

Reason

本研究課題の研究目的は、ナノ多孔材料の細孔空間や骨格内にシングルサイト光触媒(孤立四配位酸化物種、光機能性金属錯体)を調製し、環境調和型機能材料の開発を行うことである。平成28年度では、以下の研究成果を得て、30件以上の学術論文発表を行い、当初の目標を達成した。その成果が評価され、研究代表者は、錯体化学貢献賞を受賞し、国内外の学会で多数の基調講演・招待講演を行った。研究分担者は、日本金属学会の功績賞、国際触媒協会のYoung Scientist Prizeを受賞した。また、研究参加した学生がアカデミックポスト(兵庫県立大助教、関西大学助教)に着任したことは、本研究の高い達成度を示す根拠でもある。
1)シングルサイト光触媒を利用する金属ナノ触媒の調製: マイクロ波照射で活性化したTi種と金属前駆体との相互作用を通し、孤立Tiサイトの近傍にプラズモン特性を示す金属ナノ粒子を調製できた。孤立Tiサイトの紫外光吸収能、プラズモニックAgナノ粒子の可視光吸収能を併せもった幅広い光を吸収し、水素貯蔵分子からの水素生成において高活性を示す系を開発した。汎用元素Cr, V, Mo, Wの利用、プラズモニック粒子としてのCu, Au, PdAg合金の利用、多孔体にMOFの利用に展開し、更なる高活性化を目指すに至っている。
2)コア・シェル構造触媒設計による高効率ワンポット触媒反応系の設計: 従来法と異なるO/Wエマルジョンを利用した簡便な調製法を開発し、ヨーク・シェル構造を有するPdナノ粒子内包シングルサイトTi含有中空シリカ触媒を開発した。ワンポット触媒反応を検討したところ、過酸化水素の利用効率が従来触媒を大きく超えた。シェル構造に任意サイズの細孔を組み込むことに成功し、様々な反応系に応用できる材料開発ができ、特許取得や製品化に向けて研究を進めている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまでの研究成果を基盤として、開発したナノ多孔体とシングルサイト光触媒の特徴を融合することで、以下の研究計画・方法により高機能性材料の開発を目指す。
*シングルサイト光触媒の特異反応性の評価と可視光応答性の付与: 多核錯体を前駆体とする簡便なハイブリッド法を確立し、可視光応答型シングルサイト光触媒の調製法を確立する。 *シングルサイト光触媒を組込んだ三次元ナノ細孔構造とコア・シェル構造の設計: ヨーク・シェル構造の設計に特化し、サイズ制御した細孔をシェル構造に組み込むこと、シェル内部空間の反応場環境を制御することを目指す。 *疎水性多孔体の創製による光触媒の高効率化: ナノ細孔内表面を機能性炭素(グラフェンシート)や酸・塩基官能基で修飾することで、細孔内の疎水性や酸塩基性を制御し、反応基質の吸着濃縮を進め触媒反応の高効率化を目指す。  *シングルサイト光触媒を利用する金属ナノ触媒・プラズモニック触媒の調製: 貴金属の使用低減を目指した汎用元素を利用するプラズモニック触媒の開発、シングルサイト光触媒とのハイブリッドにより幅広い波長域の光を効率利用する光触媒系の開発を進める。  *コア・シェル構造触媒設計による高効率ワンポット触媒反応系の設計: ヨーク・シェル構造の設計に特化し、シェル内部空間の反応場環境を制御することで、反応基質の吸着・濃縮・拡散を制御し、ワンポット触媒反応の高効率化を目指す。 *ナノ細孔空間で機能する金属錯体シングルサイト光触媒の設計: 励起電子の移動性が高い高表面積多孔性カーボンやC3N4を利用し、多孔担体表面の化学特性が金属錯体に与える影響を体系化する。
