Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、多くの微量分子からのミリ波スペクトルの広域観測を推進し、微量分子放射の強度分布と、分子ガスの密度・温度・星形成活動との関連を統計的に調べ、巨大分子雲の物理状態・環境・進化状態を明らかにする。そのために1.85m電波望遠鏡を使用して、数々な回転分子スペクトルを用いた銀河系内の巨大分子雲の、今までにない広範囲な観測を遂行する。平成27年度の観測により、230GHz帯の微量分子での観測が実現可能であり、巨大分子雲の環境・進化状態を探る上で重要であると判断し、230GHz帯での微量分子の観測を推進することとした。本年度は、高感度受信に重要なSISミクサの調達が困難であったため、230GHz帯の導波管型分離フィルター、および両偏波受信機システムの設計・製作に集中した。12CO(2-1), 13CO(2-1), C18O(2-1)スペクトルだけではなく、CH3OH, SO, c-C3H2, CS等の微量分子の同時観測が可能な専用の周波数フィルタの設計・製作を行った。

Reason

本年度は、前年度の230GHz帯での複数の分子の検出に成功したことから、230GHz帯の導波管型分離フィルター、および両偏波受信機システムの設計・製作に集中した。製作したシステムを2016年の春季に搭載し、試験観測を行う予定である。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

平成27年度に作成した受信機システムを平成28年度の春季に望遠鏡に搭載し、試験観測を行う。夏季は大気の状態が悪く観測できないが、秋季・冬季には試験観測を進め、シーズン中に本格的な観測を開始したい。
