| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
「講演会」：「日本哲学史フォーラム」８月―「漢訳仏典の音写語と翻訳不可能性」「仏教における智慧―その翻訳と仏教理解をめぐって」という講演が行われ、分担者の美濃部仁氏がコメントを担当した。仏教用語のインド語からの漢訳に見られた、翻訳のプロセスや方法に関する歴史的な諸問題について考察し、定訳となっている現代語訳を再検討した。
「ワークショップ」：１「翻訳と日本哲学」9月(ライプツィヒ大学東アジア研究所)―代表者がドイツ側の協力を得て企画した。分担者・協力者(清水正之、竹花洋祐、藤田正勝、岡田勝明、嶺秀樹、平子友長、加藤泰史、平田俊博)、およびドイツ、フランスの日本哲学研究者8名が発表、コメントを担当した。本研究の三つの根本課題である「翻訳により生まれた日本哲学の言語」「西洋語・東アジア語に翻訳された日本哲学と日本哲学研究」「日本語で考える・哲学する」に基づき、言葉と意識、沈黙、直接性、空海と日本語、倫理学と日常言語、マルクスの用語、文化の翻訳という具体的な問題について考察し、議論した。 ；２「人類学と哲学の日仏会議―文化の問題」2017年3月(仏語、仏国立社会科学高等研究院・マルセイユ)―代表者の企画。近代日本の黎明期、西洋哲学をモデルとして「哲学」の基礎が翻訳により作られたという問題を報告し、フランスの研究者らと活発に意見を交換した。
「研究定例会8月、12月」：博士課程の学生(一名は留学生)による提題「グローバル環境政治における普遍と特殊：和辻、大拙、西田」「意識現象の場所：絶対無の立場からの実在をめぐって」、および分担者による提題「西田における弁証法的一般者」(美濃部仁)「象徴と詩作－田辺元のヴァレリー理解－」(竹花洋佑)を通して、近代日本哲学の基本概念(普遍、特殊、弁証法、一般者、三人称)を再検討し、さらに翻訳の観点から詩的言語についても思索を深めた。
