Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I compared with Installation Arts and Japanese and Chinese classical gardens both of which express the space. I studied through the literature surveys, the field surveys of classical gardens, the interviews of the installation artist and the presentations of the production of the installation art works. I found out that a garden is mixed together time and empty space in the defined space. The viewer himself mirrors his emotion along with minor changes in the garden. On the other hand, as Installation Arts are temporary structures and happenings, the expressions direct to the outside. I gained the viewpoint of oriental installation. And this study leads to the possibility of exploring architecture as arts and environment from the viewpoint of oriental installation works.
