最終年度は、まず2018年4月にカリフォルニアのUCLAで開催されたAmerican Comparative Literature Associationの年次大会にて"Neurobiology and Trauma Theory"というタイトルで学会発表を行った。オーディエンスの中にも同様のテーマに興味を持つ研究者がいたので意見交換ができた。１０月からフルブライト研究員としての海外研修がthe University of Minnesota, Twin Citiesで始まり、大学内のトラウマ研究グループが定期的に行うワークショップに参加した。ここでも類似した研究を行なっている研究者とともに学ぶことができ、大変有意義であった。この研究グループとは今後も交流を続けていく予定である。2019年1月にはシカゴで行われたModern Language Association(MLA)の年次大会にて"Liminal Subjects of the Pacific War"というパネルに参加し“Justice from Liminality: Documenting Atrocities in Wing Tek Lum’s _The Nanjing Massacre: Poems_”という発表を行うとともにパネル司会も行った。
研究成果の出版としては、2018年秋に“The Other of Western Modernity: Diaspora, Trauma, and the Impossible Autobiography in Monique Truong's _The Book of Salt_”がCambridge Scholars Publishingからのedited volume一章として出版され、12月には“Guests of Empire, Ghosts of Dispossession: Traumatic Loss and the Subject without a Proper Name in _The Gangster We Are All Looking For_”という論文も査読が通ったという知らせを受けた。ネブラスカ大学出版のthe Journal of Literature and Trauma Studiesから2019秋に出版予定である。
