Outline of Final Research Achievements |
James Steuart was a scholar who, along with Adam Smith, David Hume, and others, played a pivotal role in forming the theory of political economy in the latter half of the eighteenth century. Compared to Smith's and Hume's theory, one of the significant characteristics of Steuart's theory was that the importance of money and the management of money was at its core. This study, by examining Steuart's annotation manuscripts, reconstructed the process of how Steuart formed his monetary theory.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
