| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we investigated the effect of patent infringement litigation on firms' incentive to innovate and to adopt newly developed technologies in their products, by modeling patent infringement litigations in details. We found that uncertainties associated with patent infringement litigations tend to affect technological advancement of firms negatively, and hence to reduce competitiveness of domestic firms.
