Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aims to construct a creative and comprehensive music activities program for young children through historical investigations, workshops by the researchers themselves, and ongoing fieldwork. This study revealed four points that kindergarten’s teachers can put into practice. These are: (1) incorporating activities to explore sound on a daily basis, (2) being aware of how objects in one’s daily life can be utilized to create sounds, (3) incorporating spontaneous and responsive music play, and (4) providing a musical environment where young children can participate cooperatively.
