Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Based on the research’s and study tours’ results conducted so far, we have developed and implemented an empowerment program for childcare personnel involved in early childhood inclusive education, using incident process method. At the case study meeting held in this program, participants carefully re-grasped the problem as the cause of trouble which providers of the cases have. We found that "empowerment effect" can be expected from the case study meeting since carefully re-grasping the problem led to that childcare professionals who were feeling helpless toward the troubles started to express positive feelings and feel that there is something they can do for it. The results of the questionnaire survey also showed a positive rise in feelings to tackle daycare positively and a fall in concerns and anxiety toward response. It also resulted in the program participants voluntarily planning and practicing a similar workshop voluntarily.
