Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Sterile neutrino is a particle, which can interact with only gravity, and the existence was indicated by LSND experiment. It impacts on particle physics and cosmology to observe the sterile neutrino. JSNS2 experiment is planed at MLF facility in J-PARC as re-measurement of LSND experiment, it is unique experiment in the world. In this research, we carried out background measurement with 500kg of plastic scintillator detector at real detector location for JSNS2. Comparing the result and the MC simulation, the detector design was fixed and amount of background for the real detector was estimated.
