先三畳紀の地質帯から読み解く初期日本列島の形成史

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ペルム紀以前（約2億5千万年前以前）の「日本列島」がどこに在ったか、については、詳細はいまだにわかっていない。これの解明のためには、砕屑性ジルコン年代を用いた後背地推定が有効である。本年度は、舞鶴帯に属する京都府北部舞鶴市周辺、及び黒瀬川帯に属する熊本県中部にて調査及び試料採取を行った。採取した試料よりジルコンを抽出は完了し、国立科学博物館のLA-ICP-MSを用いて順次年代測定を行っている。
舞鶴帯はペルム紀の島弧―背弧系が衝突付加したものと解釈されている。北帯・中帯・南帯の三帯に区分されており、特に中帯にペルム紀～三畳紀の堆積層が発達する。堆積層はペルム系の舞鶴層群、下部～中部三畳系の夜久野層群、中部三畳系の難波江層群から成り、それぞれから複数の砂岩試料を採取した。
黒瀬川帯は一般的にシルル系以降の堆積層を含むが、熊本県中部ではシルル系～ジュラ系がほぼ連続的に露出している。この地域より、シルル系祇園山層、デボン系内大臣層、石炭系柿迫層、ペルム系球磨層、三畳系深山谷層、ジュラ系西の岩層よりサンプルを採取した。
舞鶴帯の一部試料についてはすでに分析を終えている。これにより、「舞鶴島弧」周辺におけるペルム―三畳系の後背地の変遷を詳細に議論できると考えている。また、黒瀬川帯試料については柿迫層以外からは砕屑性ジルコンが得られており、あとは分析するのみである。双方の結果に関しては、次年度（H28年度）の日本地質学会及び日本鉱物科学会の年会にて発表する予定である。また、次年度中の論文投稿を行う予定である。

Reason

当年度も当初は福島の調査を予定していたが、現場の交通状況を考慮して変更した。舞鶴帯に関しては、舞鶴層群のデータが不足しているために再調査が必要であるが、その他の堆積層については試料の精製および分析は進んでいる。また、黒瀬川帯の調査結果は全般的に良好であり、間もなく分析を行う予定である。よって総合としての達成度はおおむね順調である。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今後の調査の重点的は地域として、当初予定していた調査地域の中で残りの福島県相馬地域、富山県黒部地域及を考えている。また、京都府舞鶴地域でも、追加試料の採取を目論んでいる。採取した試料は迅速に処理し、翌年には公表できるようデータを得る予定である。
