Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Collagen gels were irradiated by ultra violet (UV) light for intermolecularly-cross-linking. Young’s modulus of collagen gels increased after UV-irradiation. Collagen gels were irradiated with stripe pattern using photo-masking materials. Brain capillary endothelial cells (bEnd.3) were cultured on the UV-irradiated collagen gels. bEnd.3 cells were adhered on UV-irradiated collagen gel with stripe pattern. Next, mouse neural stem/progenitor cells formed neurosphere were seeded on UV-irradiated collagen gels with stripe patterned bEnd.3 cells. After the incubation with the differentiation medium for one week, stripe pattern consisted of bEnd.3 cells and differentiating cells form neural stem/progenitor cells were formed on UV-irradiated collagen gels.
