Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The food consumption in India has been diversified as the recent drastic growth in meat demand or the governments rationed grain consumption during the 2000s, the period when the total cereal or rice/wheat demand did not increase. The household survey data analysis during around 20 years shows the relative contribution of middle aged female in comparison with male to the household total or cereal based calorie intake has been improved. And the study examines that the beneficiaries of public distributed food grain have significantly larger cereal-based calorie intake than their counterfactuals in the regions where their public distribution enlarged drastically in 2000s.
