| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究の目的は、世界で初めて新生児感染症において次世代シークエンサーを用いたメタゲノミック診断法を確立し、今まで同定が困難だった病原微生物の同定を行うことを目指している。
平成26年度にすでに本研究課題内容に関して神戸大学大学院医学研究科遺伝子解析研究倫理審査委員会の承認を得（no. 104、平成26年9月29日付）、研究のセットアップとすでに病原微生物を同定できている既存サンプルを用いて、次世代シークエンサーによるメタゲノミック解析（後ろ向き解析）で同定できることを確認した。
平成27年度は、正常分娩であっても、分娩方法の違い（経腟分娩か帝王切開か）によって細菌叢が異なるかを検出するために、患者の同意のもと、種々の分娩方法での胎盤および臍帯を計8検体ずつ収集し保存した。また、先天性細菌感染症発症の胎盤を2検体収集保存にも成功した。さらなる次世代シークエンサーでの解析技術の習得を行った。周産期新生児および小児感染症、次世代シークエンサーに関連する研究成果の学会発表、論文や著書を執筆した。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
病原微生物を検出するための次世代シークエンサーを用いたメタゲノミック診断法の確立の確立を目指す。平成27年度の保存した胎盤と臍帯検体を解析し、正常分娩時における細菌叢を同定する。続いて、先天性細菌感染症発症の胎盤を解析し、その細菌が同定できるかを検証する。その後、可能なら未知の病原微生物の同定を試みる。共同研究として藤田保健衛生大学総合医科学研究所分子遺伝学教室倉橋浩樹教授と共同でバイオインフォマティクスのアドバイスも受け、兵庫県衛生研究所との共同研究によりすでに確立された方法で既知病原微生物の同定を確認できる環境を整えていく。
