Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This project was dealing with the development and current situation of judo education in Germany. The focus was laid on the reception of educational concepts and teaching methods targeting children aged 7 to 14. The research project was conducted following for main stages. First the main developments and trends in German postwar judo were examined from a historical perspective. Based on this, the educational policy of the German Judo Federation was examined through analyzing the main guidelines for judo education and teaching materials issued by the federation. Third, the current situation of judo education in Germany was researched. Finally, a comparative analysis of judo education in Germany and Japan was conducted.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は1964年の東京オリンピック以降の日本とは異なった指導法への変容過程を考察する中で、教材の分析に基づいてドイツにおける柔道の指導論の展開に焦点を当てる。特にドイツ再統一以前の東西ドイツ両国の展開を分けて考察する研究がほとんどないため、文化化と変容に焦点を当てた柔道の歴史研究として意義があり、ヨーロッパの柔道史に新たな観点を加えられると考えられる。また、近年、日本の柔道界において間違った指導法を原因とした柔道の死亡事故等が話題とされ、指導法の新たなアプローチが求められるようになった。ここでは、ドイツの事例は年齢別と対象者別の柔道の安全指導法としての参考例になると考えられる。
