Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is related with activity of c-kit which is cell surface protein on GIST cells. The c-kit has been already used as a molecular target for the first line GIST therapy, and is also promising target molecule for targeted-adenovirus which is expected as an oncolytic virus therapy for next generation cancer therapy. In this study, two candidate motifs was identified for c-kit targeted-adenovirus by adenovirus-library screening system. In the future, c-kit targeted-adenovirus with these candidate motifs are expected as a for new oncolytic adenovirus therapy against GIST.
