| Research Abstract |
The bilateral research exchange program between Nagoya University (NU) and North Carolina State University (NCSU) was responsible for the following activities:
Visits of Researchers from NU to NCSU: As a result of this formal exchange program, post-doctoral researchers and graduate students of NU went to NCSU for either advanced training or graduate (Ph.D.) education in the field of biotechnology. N. Wakasugi, Y. Takeoka, T. Sugiyama, A. Yokoyama, T. Hase, T. Akazawa, S. Shimizu, N. Tsukagoshi, N. Terashima
Visits of Researchers from NCSU to NU: We also had numerous researchers and scholars which visited NU from NCSU. Practically all of them gave research seminars as well as visiting laboratories and discussing research topics of interest to them. S. Huber, R. Patters, John Sylvester, E. Theil, W.F. Thompson, Leo Parks
Without a doubt these exchanges are of tremendous interest and mutual importance and will certainly lead to the extension of exchange activities between NU and other researchers in the U.S. in the coming years.
