Outline of Final Research Achievements

Through this project, Japan has taken the lead in disseminating research on the science of mixed-anion compounds. Specifically, the project team actively disseminated information on this research area by organizing overseas lecture tours by the project leaders, as well as raising the international recognition of mixed-anion compounds, and actively encouraged international joint research. The following activities were undertaken: building a continuous and developing network through stays at multiple institutions mainly by young researchers, dispatching young researchers to large overseas experimental facilities, inviting prominent overseas researchers, and holding international conferences. Fostered internationally-minded young researchers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

我が国が海外を先導して複合アニオン科学を普及させたことは、研究が開始された2016年から当該分野の論文数が爆発的に増加したことからもわかる。新学術のメンバーが中心になって2020年よりJSPS研究拠点形成事業(Core-to-Core)の採択につながったさらに国際連携が加速している。複合アニオン化合物の科学の教科書の英訳版も2024年に出版された。企業からの関心も高く今後複合アニオン化合物が社会に欠かせなくなる材料になると期待されている。
