Research Abstract

平成25年3月をもって終了した新学術領域研究「配偶子幹細胞制御機構」の成果とりまとめを行った。
本研究領域は、平成25年9月5日、文部科学省科学技術・学術審議会学術分科会科学研究費補助金審査部会生物系委員会による事後評価を受け、A（研究領域の設定目的に照らして、期待どおりの成果があった）との評価を得た。総合所見として、「（前略）領域代表者を筆頭に比較的若手の研究者が多く参画し、各動物種におけるGSC/ニッチシステムに関するいくつかの先駆的な成果を収めた。（中略）以上のことから、当初の設定目的を達成し、配偶子幹細胞制御という研究領域を一つの体系として発展させたことは高く評価できる。」との評価を得た。
本研究（研究成果とりまとめ）では、最終的な研究成果をとりまとめ、学術誌に公表するとともに、領域のホームページを通して広く発信した。また、本研究領域でサポートしてきた「Germ Cellの会」を引き続きサポートし、本研究領域という枠に必ずしもとらわれない、研究者コミュニティーの育成に努めた。更に、事後評価野結果を踏まえて領域の成果をとりまとめ、報告書冊子を作成した。
