| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to study algebraic variety, I have intorduced the tool combining algebra and geometry, i.e., Galois embedding. Using the tool I have studied the Galois embedding for some algebraic varieties, i.e., bi-elliptic surfaces, projective spaces and elliptic curves.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
代数幾多様体の研究に基本的な一つの新しい視点を与えた。従来の研究より具体的で密接に幾何学と代数学の関係をつなぐことに成果があった。すなわち、射影という古典的手法を用いて多様体の射影空間への被覆が対称性が保たれているような場合に、多様体の上の関数の体が基本的な純超越拡大からどの程度離れているかを計り、超越拡大の分類の一つの手段ともなった。また、多様体の因子による埋め込みなので、多様体自身とその上の因子の研究方法にも役立った。
