Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we introduced new basic frameworks for nonserial dynamic programming. Our new models are formulated as multi-stage decision processes with nonserial transition systems (Diverging Branch Systems, Converging Branch Systems and Loop Systems). We derive recursive equations for each model by a dynamic programming approach. Our new frameworks enable easier treatment of various classes of multi-stage decision processes with complex transition systems.

本研究では、分岐や合流あるいはその組み合わせ等で表現される複雑な流れを持つ問題を数理的にとらえ、数理モデルとして正確に解決するための新たな枠組みを構築しており、再帰的な‐すなわち計算機での求解に適した‐解法を与えている。また、本研究の位置づけは、これまでにない新しい概念の提起とその基礎理論の構築であり、今後の展開として、幅広い発展的研究や実問題への応用なども大いに期待される。
